Why Teach Mindfulness?
Empower Your Students With Mindfulness
Help your students move from burnout to resilience with MIEA’s evidence-based curriculum, designed specifically for college-aged adults.

The Challenge
Rising Student Stress, Strained Campus Resources
A national survey found that 72% of students experience moderate to severe psychological distress. This growing crisis impacts student retention, increases demand for mental health services, and places heavy strain on staff and faculty.
Higher education professionals are increasingly concerned about rising student stress levels, and they themselves often feel overwhelmed and burnt out.
Educators seek proven strategies for relief that can be readily implemented on campus.
The Solution
Mindfulness That Works
Mindfulness is one of the most effective skills for improving mental health, according to the largest meta-analysis on psychological interventions. The American Council on Education further notes that “programs with supervised practice have the most consistently positive evidence.”
MIEA’s approach is designed for the realities of campus life. Built on relational teaching, small-group learning, and one-on-one mentorship, it helps students and educators cultivate calm, connection, and clarity.

The Evidence
Real Change, Measurable Impact
Developed at Duke University and implemented at 300+ campuses in 14 countries, MIEA’s curriculum has helped over 77,000 students build emotional resilience, reduce stress, and improve sleep and self-compassion.
Our evidence-based curriculum consistently empowers students to achieve higher levels of well-being and resilience and is proven, scalable, and rooted in decades of research and real-world use.
